Nasza przynależność do siecie GCN

Nawiązałem kontakt z Castelain of the Watch angielskiego stowarzyszenia klubów gier bitewnych, prosząc o przyjęcie nas "honorowo" do tej sieci.

Rozpoczęła się miła korespondencja, a sprawa trafiła do centrali Games Workshop.

Obecnie rozpatrują, czy nie otworzyć działu International, dla Europy.

Zresztą, poczytajcie sami, wklejam wam list od Si Cockera.

Dear Tomasz,

Please understand that the Gaming club network is only an English Organisation. We, for legal reasons can only sign up clubs in England for this moment in time. And also please do not apologise about your English, it is a lot better than my Polish, and you have made your point perfectly. Unfortunately i cannot make a descision on allowing your club associate membership, or anything like it, as the GCN council is run democratically, and as such, i cannot make a descision on my own. I personally would love to be able to extend the hand of freindship to all your club members from England, unfortunately at this time, I am unable too.

But there is something i can do, which is talk to Games workshop Europe, and discuss a posibilty of a formation of a similiar group within your country. I will be giving them a phone call on monday morning to discuss what i can do for you, and believe me, i will strive and do my best to help you in any way I can with regards to encouraging and supporting your gaming club . I have visited your website, and i tried to join, unfortunately the language barrier was too much for me, and i was unable to do so, but please tell your members that I am both proud and honoured that you have contacted our organisation, and i will do my very best to help and support your request as much as i am able.

I do have a message for your members, which is Thank you all for the commitment and enthusiasm of their determination to become a member of the GCN, and never forget that gaming is an international language for this modern age. I will contact you shortly with all the details and aid I can to ensure that you guys are not alone in your activities, and that I shall do my best to connect you more clubs in your country.

Yes, of course you can post and copy my response to your forum.

To give you some more information, i today contacted Games Workshop, and spoke to them about my concern that the GCN should be branching out to our European brothers, and then into the truly international world of gaming. I am pleased to say that this was recieved very well, and it now on the agenda of the GCN's next meeting. We will be discussion the possibility of expanding our organisation into Europe at first. This means alot of work. But i have never been afraid of hard work, and i am personally determined to see the GCN begin to cater for the European and then Worldwide gaming community. Essentially there will be the initial problems of researching european law, then individuals law of Child protection. The GCN takes its obligation to protect its members, especially children, thats why we do insist on every clubs commitee to be Criminal record checked in the UK, i am sure that you support this policy yourself.

As soon as i am able I shall inform you of the councils descision, but i am sure that it will take some time before we are in a position to offer international membership to the GCN.Thank you very much for your enquiry, and I hope one day i can welcome you and your members as fully fledged members of the Gaming Club Network.
